Christie Couch
Central Tennessee Area Manager
Christie has been in the mortgage industry since 1996 including origination, processing,
operations management and underwriting. Her focus as Central TN Area Manager is to help her
team grow their business and exceed their goals every day with a concentration on outstanding
customer service. She believes the core values of FirstBank is what makes this a great place to
call home. Leading by example, she is always available to advise and educate her team to be
the best in the business and ensure our clients are given the service they expect and deserve.
Christie lives in Portland, TN with her husband Jeff. She has two children and two grandchildren.
In her free time she loves to travel, garden and spending time with her grandchildren.
John Phillips
Central Tennessee Area Manager
John Phillips has been in the Mortgage Business for 19 years, 15 of those spent at FirstBank.
John and his team have been in the top 1% of originators in the country going on 7 years. John’s
personal team has a combined experience of 50 years. They were recently awarded Top Team in
TN for refinances. Their focus has always been providing the best products for their customer.
John believes that everyone at FirstBank has a common goal, Take Care of the customer. If you
take care of the customer, everything falls into place. John also manages our West TN region
and loves his role. John has two children, Keaton 16 and Atley 12, He’s been married to Kayla
Phillips for 23 years. In John’s spare time, he’s spending time with his family at the lake.
Lane Gerhardt
Central Tennessee Area Manager
With over 20 years’ experience helping families finance their home purchases, Lane is a mortgage
expert with exceptional problem solving skills. Whether helping first-time homebuyers learn the
ropes, or seasoned investors obtain cash flowing properties, Lane assists his clients in making
the most informed decisions while establishing long term relationships. With the heart of a
teacher, Lane mentors other Loan Officers, sharing his advice and experience so they may grow
personally and professionally. In his free time, Lane can be found spending time with his wife
and two children on the lake or, if he’s alone, probably waste deep fishing creeks and streams.
Joseph A. McNamee
Central Tennessee Area Manager
Joseph A. McNamee has been a dedicated mortgage banker for over 30 years, helping
countless individuals and families secure their dream homes through personalized financial
solutions. His deep industry knowledge, combined with a commitment to providing tailored
service, has made him a trusted expert in the mortgage world. Outside of his professional life,
Joseph is a devoted single father to three boys and the proud owner of three dogs, balancing
the demands of career and family with dedication and care. His work ethic and passion for
both his profession and family life define his approach to everything he does.
