Retail Mortgage Leaders
Danita Hulsey
Director of Mortgage Operations, VP
Danita Hulsey is the Director of Mortgage Operations with more than 25 years of experience
in the mortgage industry. She began her mortgage career in 1999 as a processor before
transitioning into loan origination, giving her a well-rounded understanding of both operational
execution and customer experience.
In 2014, Danita joined FirstBank Mortgage as a Mortgage Banker, where she became part of
one of the company’s top originating teams. Her hands-on experience across multiple areas of
mortgage lending has provided her with a deep understanding of the full loan lifecycle and the
critical role each department plays in delivering exceptional service.
Today, Danita oversees key operational areas including the disclosure desk, appraisal desk,
processing, underwriting, closing, and HMDA/ECOA. She brings a commitment to building
efficient, customer-focused processes that support both internal teams and borrowers alike.
Leah Borders
Mortgage Administrative Assistant
Leah has been at FirstBank for almost 10 years, working directly with the Operations Manager
and our operational team. Her favorite thing about FirstBank are the incredible coworkers she
has had the joy to work with. Leah resides in Huntsville, AL with her husband and twin sons and
loves travel, Disney, and Harry Potter!
Kylie Bisignani
Disclosure Desk Team Lead
Kylie’s primary role is to manage and oversee FirstBank’s staff of Initial Disclosure and
Re-Disclosure Specialists. The disclosure desk reviews files for accuracy of fees and compliant
information in order to properly disclose and re-disclose them to borrowers on behalf of the
loan officers. Kylie lives in Birmingham, AL with her husband Tayler, daughter London, and mini
goldendoodle Lola. She loves traveling, going to the beach, and Alabama Football.
Rachael Farlow
Processing Manager
As Processing Manager, Rachael provides FirstBank’s mortgage processors with everyday
support including managing pipelines, understanding and implementing changing guidelines
and products, and keeping a sense of humor in the mortgage world. She thrives on the team
mentality at FirstBank and enjoys continuing this aspect in her interactions with our processors
and other coworkers. In her free time, Rachael enjoys any live music event, testing out new
restaurants in her city of Birmingham, and spoiling her dog, Remi.
