Ryan Fay
Underwriting Manager
As Underwriting Manager, Ryan works hands on with the Underwriting Team to shape the
loan decisioning process. Her love of guidelines and research is put to good use helping Sales
and Operations understand the different loan programs available and solving complicated file
scenarios. When Ryan isn’t talking about appraisal values or self-employed income, she is most
likely to be found reading, going to a concert or watching true crime documentaries. Born in
Nashville, Ryan moved to Alabama many years ago to attend the University of Alabama. She
still lives in Birmingham, Alabama with two very sleepy cats and three very noisy dogs.
Nicole Breckenridge
Closing Manager
Nicole is our Closing Manager with a background in both mortgage closing and title and escrow
services giving her a comprehensive understanding of the closing process. In her role, she
has the honor of assisting a talented and driven group of individuals focused on delivering
exceptional results and consistently exceeding expectations to ensure each transaction is
executed smoothly and efficiently. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys reading, puzzles, and
spending time with her husband and their German Shepherd.
Carol Wilbanks
Mortgage Support and Process Manager, VP
Carol is truly FirstBank’s biggest cheerleader. Overseeing Mortgage Support and Process
Management, Carol is known for providing the highest level of dedication, kindness, and
support. She makes every new employee feel welcome and continues to offer guidance and
encouragement to our seasoned teammates equally.
Carol’s main focus is always on customer service and satisfaction. With over 30 years in the
mortgage industry, she approaches with a wealth of experience. Many of these years have been
spent as FirstBank’s Mortgage Processing Manager, where she led a team of 60 employees.
What Carol loves most about FirstBank is its family culture and the people who make it
special. Her greatest joy comes from witnessing the growth and success of those around her.
Outside of work, Carol resides in Ringgold, Georgia, and enjoys spending quality time with
her husband Danny of over 30 years and their three puppy dogs.
Stephanie Adams
Mortgage Onboarding and Support Specialist
Stephanie’s role allows her to do what she does best, helping others to find a solution to issues
or problems that occur during the loan process. She joined FirstBank in 2005 as a processing
assistant. Since that time, her role has changed numerous times which has allowed her to
expand her knowledge of the mortgage process, which helps in her role today. Stephanie
resides in Chattanooga TN and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
