We have installed a new tool in Encompass. It is designed to allow a user to “poke” a user that is
currently in a loan file. For instance, if someone was in the Smith file and you needed to access the
file, you could “right-click” on the file and select “Doorbell.” It would send the person occupying
the file a message saying that another user needs to get into the Smith file and to please exit.

Once that person has exited the Smith file, you would get a popup notification indicating the loan
file was now available.

You could also select “Notify Me When Loan is Available.”
