Chris Gomes
Mortgage Finance Officer, VP
As Mortgage Finance Officer, Chris’ primary role is to support FirstBank’s mortgage team’s
financial health through reporting on financial results and forecasting future performance.
He also assists with budgeting, managing expenses, and modeling various business endeavors.
As part of the CFO, Chris works with Accounting and Capital Markets as part of the key
financial support team to help mortgage achieve its goals. Chris came to FirstBank in 2022
bringing years of experience working in Finance, Operations, COO, and Risk for global financial
services firms. He lives in Spring Hill, TN with his wife Carrie and enjoys golfing and exploring
Tennessee in his spare time.
Lee Townsend
Head of Mortgage Banking
Meet Lee Townsend, the dynamic leader at the helm of the our FirstBank Mortgage Division!
With a passion for numbers, people, and a flair for financial finesse, he orchestrates a symphony
of mortgage magic, that puts our team in a place to win while helping our borrowers get to
a “Better Place.” Lee is not your average executive – he is a mortgage nerd, who dances
through the world of interest rates and loan terms with style and grace. Known for turning
paperwork into possibilities and spreadsheets into smiles, he is also very creative in writing
executive Bio’s. When Lee isn't crunching numbers and closing deals, you'll find him spreading
joy throughout the office. With a sense of humor as sharp as his financial prowess, he keeps the
team motivated and the atmosphere competitive & fun. With Lee’s 20+ year adventure in the
mortgage world combined with his experience in the AirForce, 2 kids in college, and learning
from countless mistakes along the way, Lee has a unique take on the People, Technology,
Processes, Innovations, and Relationships that make the Mortgage world go round.
Kathy Broadhead
Mortgage Administrative Assistant
Kathy’s favorite role is to follow Lee Townsend around with a video camera and film him in
a variety of costumes, and yelling “Action!” She happily assists Lee and other team members
with various projects, communications, and reporting. One of her most significant roles is to
handle commissions and incentives for the sales and operations teams through the Compensafe
program. She also builds out Power BI reports in an effort to make life easier for the Mortgage
folk. She resides in Calera, Alabama and loves watching her grandchildren grow, as well as her
garden, and is always searching for the next great Audible book.
